Learn how to manually calibrate the FLYDIGI Vader 5 Pro controller, including its gyroscope, joysticks and triggers.
Follow the steps below if you are experiencing joystick, trigger or motion-control issues.
Quick answer
- Enter calibration mode using Select + Start + D-pad Up.
- Place the controller on a flat surface and leave it still for approximately 3 seconds.
- Rotate both joysticks through their full range twice.
- Gently press both triggers twice.
- Press Select + Start + D-pad Up again to finish.
Before you start
Please make sure:
- The controller has enough battery power.
- The controller is powered off before you begin.
- You have a flat and stable surface available.
- Nothing is touching the joysticks or triggers when calibration begins.
Manual calibration steps
Step 1: Enter calibration mode
With the controller powered off, press and hold Select, Start and D-pad Up, then power on the controller.
Continue holding the buttons for approximately 3 seconds, until the RGB light strip begins blinking red.

Step 2: Calibrate the gyroscope
Place the controller on a flat and stable surface.
Leave the controller completely still for approximately 3 seconds. Do not move or touch it during this step, as movement may affect the gyroscope calibration.

Step 3: Calibrate the joysticks
Pick up the controller and rotate both joysticks at the same time.
Move each joystick fully around its outer edge twice, making sure the complete movement range is covered.

Step 4: Calibrate the triggers
Gently press both triggers twice.
Press each trigger smoothly through its normal movement range. Do not apply unnecessary force.

Step 5: Finish the calibration
Press Select, Start and D-pad Up again to finish the calibration process.
The RGB light strip should stop blinking red once calibration mode has closed.
Test the controller
After completing the calibration, test the controller in a game or controller-testing tool.
Check that:
- Both joysticks return correctly to the centre.
- Each joystick reaches its full movement range.
- Both triggers respond smoothly and consistently.
- Motion controls respond normally.
If the controller still does not behave correctly, restart it and repeat the calibration process once more.
