An Update for Mobapad M12 HD Users
Mobapad M12 HD Charging Logic and Charging Grip Update
We would like to provide a clear update regarding the charging logic of the Mobapad M12 HD, as well as the current arrangement for eligible pre-order customers.
This update applies to customers who ordered the Mobapad M12 HD through Techyin.
Charging Logic
The Mobapad M12 HD uses a power-saving design when connected to the Nintendo Switch 2 console.
When the console enters Sleep Mode, the controller stops drawing power from the console.
This design is intended to help reduce unnecessary battery drain from the console while it is not in use.
The M12 HD can still be charged or powered in the following ways:
Handheld Mode
When the console is active and power-saving mode is turned off, the console can provide power to the controllers during use.
TV Mode
When the console is docked and active, and power-saving mode is turned off, the console can provide power to the controllers during use.
Charging Grip
The Charging Grip allows the controllers to be charged independently, without relying on the console.
Firmware Update
Mobapad has confirmed that a firmware update is planned to be released soon to improve the Direct Console Wake-up function.
The update is also expected to address the light-bleeding issue around the gap area.
We will share further information once the firmware update becomes available.
Charging Grip Arrangement for Eligible Pre-orders
All Mobapad M12 HD pre-orders placed through Techyin will include the Charging Grip under the current arrangement.
If the Charging Grip is available at the time your M12 HD order is dispatched, it will be included with the shipment.
If the Charging Grip is not available at the time of dispatch, it will be sent separately once available.
What Customers Need to Do
No further action is required from Techyin M12 HD pre-order customers.
